Sarah has a Bachelor of Arts in psychology with a minor in biology from Beloit College, and received a PhD in Population Health Sciences from UW-Madison. As a research scientist, she uses the data collected by our team and our research partners to tell its story to the broader scientific community and the public. Her current focus is examining the life course social exposome and linking it to neuropathology in a cohort of brain bank donors.
Sarah worked under Dr. Kind as a research specialist for two years prior to starting her PhD in 2018, and she has had the privilege to watch the team and CHDR grow ever since. In her research specialist role, Sarah coordinated a randomized control trial of transitional care for older adults with dementia. Speaking with patients and their caregivers inspired her to pursue her PhD and to continue working with CHDR to eliminate health disparities in these populations.
